What do I need to do?
Our online calculator makes it really easy to switch suppliers and it only takes a few minutes.
Enter your details into the quote form. This doesn’t take very long
Choose the best gas and/or electricity supplier from the list supplied
Enter your name and address information for your new home which we’ll forward to the new supplier
You’ll receive confirmation of the date of the switch from your new supplier
Make sure you make a note of your meter reads on the day you move in!
The switch process takes 4-6 weeks, you’ll then be paying the new, cheaper tariff
You may receive a final bill from the old supplier which covers the period from the date you move in to the date of the switch.
What information do I need to provide?
To get a quote, you just need to enter the postcode of your new property and how many bedrooms it has. The calculator will work out the average energy consumption at your new property and provide a quotation based on British Gas and the local electricity company. Then when you've chosen your new supplier, just give us your name, address and other details and we'll take care of the switch for you.
